Good Country People Characters - 2008 Words

Flannery O’Connor’s â€Å"Good Country People† is a seemingly two-dimensional story based around Hulga Hopewell, a pessimistic atheist, who lives in an old-fashioned country home alongside her mother, Mrs. Hopewell, some others include the farmhand, Mrs. Freeman, and Mrs. Freeman’s two daughters, Carramae and Glynese. Throughout the story, Mrs. Hopewell, along with the other characters, assert their views to hulga that good country people are the foundation of living a good life. The story compares and contrasts these distinctive character views in order to create a more realistic and three-dimensional outlook from the context. After reading over the story a few times, I noticed a lot of consistency with the underlying meanings that the author†¦show more content†¦Instead of looking down on her for getting involved with every one’s business, Mrs. Hopewell looks at this as a positive quality by letting her be responsible for everything aroun d the house. When it comes to her treatment toward Hulga however, Mrs. Hopewell seems to lack a certain sense of sympathy; for example, when she would ask Hulga for help in the fields, she would tell her â€Å"If you can’t come pleasantly, I don’t want you at all†. This suggests an obvious intolerance for her negative behavior. The relationship between Hulga and her mother seems to be that of a disobedient child and her intolerant mother. Regardless of Hulga’s accomplishments, Mrs. Hopewell still seems incapable of getting past her negative attitude. For example, she believes college did nothing to break her out of her shell even though Hulga went through years of school to get her Ph. D in Philosophy. Mrs. Hopewell claims she can’t brag about her daughter being a philosopher because philosophy â€Å"ended with the Greeks and Romans†. On top of her school accomplishments, Mrs. Hopewell also finds a problem with Hulga’s name change. At the age of 21, Hulga got her official name changed from â€Å"Joy†, which obviously upset her mother as she believed that Hulga looked through the dictionary for the ugliest name imaginable; she even went as far as to say she â€Å"thought of the broad blankShow MoreRelated The Character of Hulga in Good Country People by Mary Flannery OConnor1024 Words   |  5 PagesThe Character of Hulga in Good Country People by Mary Flannery OConnor    By definition joy means a great feeling of pleasure and happiness. Discussion on Conflict Organizational Activities †MyAssignmenthelp

Question: Discuss about the Discussion on Conflict Organizational Activities. Answer: Introduction: Conflict is one of the vital forces that shape organizational activities. In organizations, conflict arises due to variation in opinions, interests, or clash of personalities. Importantly, the weeks reading explicitly illustrates that the understanding of conflict has evolved over the years. Initially, the traditional view held that conflict is harmful and should be avoided. Later, the human relation view posited that conflict is natural and unavoidable in any given team. Finally, the current view states that conflict is a positive force that is necessary for a group to perform effectively. However, questions have emerged on how individuals can benefit from a conflict. Several authors have proposed ways in which individuals can benefit from conflicts. In their article, Sturt and Nordstrom (2017) opine that conflict can lead to significant personal and professional progress. Sturt and Nordstrom (2017) outline that individuals can benefit from a conflict by focusing on facts, probing their attitude towards their colleagues, and using effective communication strategies in resolving the conflict. With these strategies, the conflicting parties discover their weakness and plan on ways of addressing them. Genocide in Rwanda and Burundi Essay Example For Students

Genocide in Rwanda and Burundi Essay Between April and July of 1994, more than 800,000 people, mostly Tutsi civilians, were slaughtered in a genocidal campaign organized by the Hutu hard-liners. By educating myself as well as others, I hope that we can prevent genocide organizers from eliminating the minority, Tutsi, and remove the tensions between these two groups. Pressure must be placed on the government to put the 120,000 suspected genocide criminals on trial . This topic is one of the most compelling human dramas of the century. Additionally, I am very interested in human rights violations that are occurring around the world and genocide seems to be the most extreme form of infringement. By studying the history of Rwanda and Burundi I hope to understand the ethnic conflicts that are occurring. I would like to find more information about their local governments and why they supported the slaughtering of so many people. It is very important that problems such as these are not left ignored, but dealt with accordingly. Rwanda and Burundi history is marked by the continuing and constant battling between the Hutu and Tutsi tribes. Although the Tutsi are the minority tribe within central Africa, they were traditionally the leaders with power over the Hutu in Rwanda and Burundi . The Tutsi and Hutu tribes, therefore, are highly significant actors for the genocide that took place in Rwanda and Burundi. The people of Rwanda and Burundi are divided into three distinct and specific tribal groups, all which share a common language. The pygmoid Twa constitute for less than one percent of the population and are hunters and forest dwellers . Their significance is minimal regarding the genocide that affected the Hutu and Tutsi tribes. Another tribal group are called the Hutu. The short, stocky, Hutu represent 85 percent of the population. They never organized a centralized political system, and their alliance is based on small units formed around clans. Furthermore, their head chiefs have made them very vulnerable. The Hutus race is Bantu, and therefore their ancestry is located somewhere in central or southern Africa. The third group the Tutsis, entered and conquered Rwanda through a combination of force and persuasion. The Tutsi represent a little more then 15 percent of the population and were militarily advanced compared to the Hutu. The Hutu come from Ethiopia, and became the most powerful tribe in Central Africa. The Tutsis acquired culture and beliefs from the Hutus. This aided in their assimilating and eventual success of tribal domination throughout Rwanda and Burundi . The Tutsi were clearly a minority in the region. However, to say that this minority dominated over the majority Hutu is too simple. The Tutsi were more numerous and dominant in some areas than others. The Tutsi adopted the Hutu language, customs and traditions. The Hutu and Tutsi still battle today as both groups fight for land, freedom, and power. Another significant actor involved with the Genocide in Rwanda and Burundi Essay is the east African neighboring nation of Tanzania. Tanzania has served as a place of safe refuge for the fleeting people of Rwanda ad Burundi. One example of Tanzanias Open Arm Policy was in 1993, when they accepted nearly 300,000 citizens of Burundi who fled for their lives crossing the border to escape the bloody coup. A second example of their humanitarian efforts was in 1994, when over 500,000 people of Rwanda escaped the massacres of their homelands and retreated to the comforts of the neighboring nation, Tanzania . While there are many problems that in some way led to the genocide that occurred in Rwanda and Burundi, it is my contention that the dominant problem was the complete social division within the two countries. The division between the Hutu and Tutsi cuts through all aspects of life. .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 , .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .postImageUrl , .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 , .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071:hover , .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071:visited , .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071:active { border:0!important; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071:active , .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071 .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u8294e14a1fdbb755c78485659ee4d071:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Dostoevsky Essay The division that exists has defined life in these two volatile countries for generations. Canadian GDP Essays - Currency, Economic Indicators,

Canadian GDP Canadian GDP The output or GDP of Canada has increased from 1995 to 1999. This means that more people became employed or productivity has risen. With the GDP on the rise, Canada is able to buy more because people will have more money from work. This would appreciate the dollar because Canadians need the U.S. dollar to purchase our goods. Demand, on the other hand, has somewhat stayed the same. There were periods when it was up and periods when it was down. When the demand for passenger cars was falling, Canadians were looking elsewhere to buy their cars. This factor would, most likely appreciate the dollar because, one again, the Canadians would need the U.S. dollar to buy our cars. When the demand was up, the opposite situation would happen. The unemployment rate for Canada fell, possible because of increased advertisement. When the unemployment of a country is low, output and productivity are raising. I stated before, as output rises, imports will also rise. This is due to the increase of money in the country. The dollar will appreciate relative to the Canadian dollar. Canada's inflation has risen 7% in the last five years. As the price of Canada's goods increase, the U.S. is looking elsewhere to buy its products. The supply of the U.S. dollar would decrease in Canada and the U.S. dollar would appreciate. In order to get an exact reading of the actions taken by Canada, we must look at their inflation compared to the U.S. I looked at http://www.stls.frb.org/fred/data/cpi/cpiaucsl, and I found that the U.S. had an 11% inflation rate. This means that product price of the U.S. has risen faster to that of Canada. This means that Canada was possible taking there business elsewhere, causing the dollar to depreciate. The interest rates of Canada are clearly on the downfall. Less people are putting their money into the investing sector. When the interest decreases, it is likely that Canada is putting their money into the U.S. This would appreciate the dollar because Canada would need the U.S. currency to invest in our country. Canada is running a constant trade surplus. We must also look at the current account balance of Canada. It decreased drastically from 1996 to 1997. This, most likely, means their imports were greater than their exports. You would be able to see this on their goods and service balance. I would assume that they do have a merchandise trade deficit because Canada is getting money from investing income. I see this because there is little investing domestically. Therefore, Canada must be making their money abroad. This would appreciate the dollar because Canada is depending on our currency to buy our products. The Pacific Exchange Rate graph shows the U.S. dollar appreciating. The exchange rate started at $.71 in 1995 and is currently around $.676. Most of the indicators show the dollar appreciating to the Canadian currency. One strong indication of the dollar appreciation is that of the financial market. You can see the share prices decrease. At the same time the dollar appreciated drastically. This could have been due to the flooding of U.S. markets for higher rates of return.

Grandparents and an Online Degree Program Essays

Grandparents and an Online Degree Program Essays Grandparents and an Online Degree Program Essay Grandparents and an Online Degree Program Essay When many of us were young, our grandparents – in our estimation – could have been anywhere from 100 to 150 years old. We had no concept of ages; only that our grandparents were elderly people that hailed from another generation. With people living longer and much healthier lives, the grandparent of today does not resemble the grandparent of years’ past. In fact, grandparents are only grandparents in name and position only; many are young, vibrant, working people in the prime of their lives. Age no longer defines us as it once did, and many people – regardless of their age or their â€Å"place† in the family – are pursuing goals that were once reserved for the very young. A college education, as a matter of fact, was once something that most of us earned as young people in our twenties. In fact, there were some generations in which a college education was largely a male pursuit. That generation has now caught up with the generation where a college education is genderless and ageless; and they are jumping on the bandwagon to earn what is rightfully theirs to earn. While there may be little time in the day for a round trip to a campus that may be logistically inconvenient – as well as the time necessary to sit in class – there is the possibility for people of all ages to earn an online degree. The Internet has made all things possible; and a college education is no exception. Through an online degree program, people of all ages can simply login to complete all that is required in the class – reading, assignments, projects, and even quizzes and exams. All that is required to complete an online degree is acceptance into an accredited program, a computer with access to the Internet, and the desire to finally earn that college education. :

Market Research Master Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words

Market Research Master - Essay Example There is a growing consensus among management professionals on the role and significance of research in marketing decision-making. While there is a popular belief that more money spent on marketing research may reduce the chance of a bad decision, business owners and marketers are often esoteric, [Chiba, 2005] and even critical of marketing research, considered costly in terms of money and time and lacking accountability and precision, being only a recommended action. [Chee and Harris, 1998; p. 193] The paper attempts to understand and establish the significance of marketing research in decision-making and for business success. As a prelude to the topic, it may be imperative to define and understand the scope of marketing research. "the systematic collection and objective recording, classification, analysis and presentation of data concerning the behaviour, needs, attitudes, opinions, motivations etc., of individuals and organizations (commercial enterprises, public bodies etc.) within the context of their economic, social, political and everyday activities" [Cited Cannon, 1996; p.100] According to Bennett's Dictionary of Marketing Terms, marketing research provides information for identifying and defining marketing opportunities and problems; generating, refining and evaluating marketing actions, monitor marketing performance and improve understanding of marketing as a process. It also designs the method for collecting information; manages and implements the data collection process, analyses the results; and communicates the findings and their implications. [Bennett, 1998; p. 117-18] It is significant to note that the definitions, while placing an emphasis on the measurement and analysis of markets, goes beyond the confines of market research to solve a particular company's marketing problem, encompassing the broad field of marketing. [Cannon, 1996; p.100] Accordingly marketing research essentially encompasses the '4 Ps' of marketing; Lancaster and Massingham present the major types of research, as including: 1. Marketing and sales research, which encompasses Determination of market size of both developed and new markets Identification of market characteristics and segments Identification of market trends Sales forecasting Obtaining information on customers and potential customers Obtaining information on competitors 2. Product research, which covers Generation of new product ideas Product concept testing Product testing Test marketing of products Packaging research focusing on different types of packaging 3. Pricing research focusing on Identifying the relationship between a product or service's price and demand 4. Marketing Communications research covering Effectiveness of advertisement campaigns and marketing communications Media selection research Copy testing Sales territory planning 5.

Politics might be improved by more, rather than less marketing Essay

Politics might be improved by more, rather than less marketing. Discuss - Essay Example Marketing within the political realm is something that must be judged in the proper light to start with. The citizens of the state must be apprised of their due role within the country and then they must also be told about the different aspects related with the spreading of message through the right channels. Politics must make citizens stand up and act. They should take notice of what is happening around them and what the different regimes and movements are doing for their own betterment. This means that awareness and a sense of knowing needs to be the buzzword when we explore the true meaning of politics and marketing the same gives the whole discussion a real boost in the related scheme of things. Political marketing aims to look at the positive sides of delivering quality to the end consumers, for whom the politics is being done. The society is the eventual recipient hence it is the duty of the society to find out what is happening around it. The people are a part of this society and they are rightly the winners and/or losers at the end of the day. They must be made aware of the happenings around them when it comes to true political movements, activities, situations and the like. The usage of banners, websites, rallies, advertorials, email messages, sms texts, web portals, newspapers, magazines and even television and radio suggest that political marketing could be a real happening thing in the times much like today. (KELLEY, 1973) What also is suggested by these factors is the belief that there are a number of other avenues and different forms of media which could be explored so as to propagate the message of the political party or the politics as we might put it here. Politics in the world of today is like a relationship. It connects with an individual in much the same way as a family is connected to him. He is

Should The Supreme Court Essay Example for Free

Should The Supreme Court Essay The Supreme Court’s power of judicial review should not be strictly limited by a constitutional amendment because the simple fact what if you do a judgment that they are not in the right of? If the judge is proved wrong then it will be appealed. For an example we the people shouldn’t be judged because what if one commits the same crime and does it intentionally such as killing someone and then someone does it to protect them and their family from harm if someone broke into their home and was coming at them and the only thing was to kill them to keep from getting their children or self harmed. The cons of this is that what if we are wanting a law passed and it gets rejected and we the voters can’t have any say of it. For example switching books in the schools for more modern technology like Ipads what if the children don’t understand the work very well and needs more studying time, they won’t be allowed to take them home. They should make the law of going back to older days when all the technology wasn’t out just books, pencils, and paper! The pros is that the Judicial branch can have the power to view the laws of the other two branches and has an important role playing of the check and balancing system. So when you sit down and think about it its like they are too many chiefs and not enough Indians. They are sometimes to many decisions and too many judges at one time.

Effective Foreshadowing in Flannery O’Connor’s Greenleaf Essay

Effective Foreshadowing in Flannery O’Connor’s Greenleaf â€Å"Mrs. May’s bedroom window was low and faced on the east and the bull, silvered in the moonlight, stood under it, his head raised as if he listened- like some patient god come down to woo her- for a stir inside her room. The window was dark and the sound of her breathing too light to be carried outside. Clouds crossing the room blackened him and in the dark he began to tear at the hedge. Presently they passed and he appeared again in the same spot, chewing steadily, with a hedge-wreath that he had ripped loose for himself caught in the tips of his horns. When the moon drifted into retirement again, there was nothing to mark his place but the sound of steady chewing. Then abruptly a pink glow filled the window. Bars of light slid across him as the venetian blind was split. He took a step backward and lowered his head as if to show the wreath across his horns.† (311) An analysis of the introductory paragraph of Flannery O’Connor’s â€Å"Greenleaf† reveals how diction and text structure foreshadow Mrs. May’s fate and create a...

Allman Brothers Band

Hailing from Macon, Georgia, the Allman Brothers Band were know as the foremost architects of Southern rock (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). The band was known for their jam or improvisational sessions and forged a new musical offshoot from several elements of music blues, jazz, soul, R&B, and rock and roll. They help advance the genre of rock and roll, along with groups like the Grateful Dead and Cream (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005).The Allman Brothers Band developed a type of â€Å"jam† session that required a distinct level of technical genius and musical literacy, which was somewhat new to rock and roll (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). Duane Allman, an original guitarist, and Dickey Betts broke the barrier with sensational guitar riffs and extended solos (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). This combined with front man Gregg Allman’s husky, soulful vocals dro ve the Allman Brothers Band to rock and roll powerhouse from their 1969 beginnings (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005).The legendary band was formed in Jacksonville, Florida on March 26, 1969. The Allman Brothers Band was comprised of Gregg Allman, Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Jai Johanny Johanson, Butch Trucks, and Berry Oakley (Freeman, 1995). The brothers, Gregg and Duane, were in other garage bands before the Allman Brothers Band (Freeman, 1995). The Allman Brothers Band played shows throughout the south prior to the release of their debut album, the Allman Brothers Band. The critics adored the album; however, the album attracted only limited listeners and consisted of a cult audience (Freeman, 1995).Their follow-up album, Idlewild South, was a mass success, both with critics and listeners. Idlewild South became a rather profitable album, as well. The Allman Brothers Band received a great honor of playing the last act at the Fillmore East before its closin g in June 1971. These last acts also received a renowned status due to their ability to play all night long (Kimball, 1971). Gregg Allman was noted to say that it was hard to realize how long they were playing until the morning light poured in (Kimball, 1971).In 1971, the Allman Brothers Band was virtually kicked in the groin when Duane Allman was killed in a catastrophic motorcycle crash in Macon, Georgia (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). Gregg Allman said his brother Duane was the most intense person he knew. Only a year later, on November 11, 1972, Allman Brothers Band bassist, Berry Oakley died in a similar situation – his death occurred only a few blocks from Duane’s accident site (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). The band regrouped and persevered.A second keyboardist, Chuck Leavell, added a jazz-like dimension. Lamar Williams later replaced Oakley as the band’s bassist. The most commercially successful album came in wake of their tragic losses (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). The double album Eat a Peach reached number four on the charts. This album included Duane Allman’s last three studio performances. In 1973, Brothers and Sisters soared to number one and stayed there for five weeks, which included classics like â€Å"Blue Sky† and â€Å"Ramblin’ Man,† and lengthy pieces. In the same year, the Allman Band, along with the Grateful Dead, performed at the Grand Prix Racecourse in front of 600,000 rock and roll fans (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). The mid-seventies proved problematic with substance abuse and internal disagreement. This triggered a two-year hiatus. However, the Gregg Allman band toured with the Dickey Betts Band in August of 1978 (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). This rejoined the Allman Brothers Band and reverted to their classic dual-guitar line up.They w ould then move from Capricorn to Arista records. History repeats itself and the Allman Brothers Band disbanded again in 1982 (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). In 1989, Dreams, the box set, was released, and the band reunited for what would later become the most productive chapters in their history. With two additions, Warren Haynes and Allen Woody, the band was revitalized. Their playing was as strong as ever, even dating back to the late Duane Allman and Berry Oakley (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005).The most stable line-up in the history of the Allman Brothers Band capitalized in 1991. The septet was consisted of Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Butch Trucks, Jaimoe Johanson, Warren Haynes, Allen Woody, and Marc Quinones (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). Warren Haynes passed through their ranks capturing the technique and passion of the late Duane Allman (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005).The Allman Brothers Band released two of their most inspired albums in the early nineties, Shades of Two Worlds and Where It All Begins (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). This line-up came to an end with the departure of Haynes and Woody to their side project Government Mule (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005). In 2000, the band forced Dickey Betts to sit out for personal and professional reasons during their summer tour.A bitter argument rose from this – Dickey Betts filled a lawsuit against the other three original members and the summer disconnection became a permanent divorce (Freeman, 1995). The band release a live album, Peakin’ At the Beacon, that chronicled the annual March tradition of a several night stand at the Beacon Theater in New York City. However, within that same year, bassist Allen Woody was found dead on August 26th. Warren Haynes began appearing with the Allman Brothers Band in 200 and rejoin ed full-time in 2001 (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the Allman Brothers Band, 2005).The Allman Brothers gathered back to back Grammy Award nominations in 2003 and 2004 in the category of Best Rock Instrumental for performance of â€Å"Instrumental Illness. † The Rolling Stone magazine named Duane Allman, Warren Haynes, Dickey Betts, and Derek Trucks to their list of top 100 greatest guitarist (Kimball, 1971). Allman came in at number two, and Derek Trucks being the youngest on the list. The Allman Brothers Band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for many reasons. Their influential blended rock style paved the way for Southern rock.Their all-night, play to dawn sessions were fan favorites. Their albums were critically acclaimed and Grammy worthy. This band is legendary and according to George Kimball of Rolling Stones magazine â€Å", This is the best damn rock and roll band this country has produced†¦(Kimball, 1971). References Freeman, Scott. A Phenomenon; Hip-hop Essay - 1937 Words

People have many different problems in their lives and their reactions are also different. Some of them prefer to talk about these problems directly; some choose another way that is indirectly, such as music. Hip-hop is a reaction for people to show what happens in their lives. Although all music types have the same function, many people prefer this music type to tell what they feel without using exaggerated artistic lyrics since everything is pure and real in hip-hop. On the other hand hip-hop is not just a music type since the beginning; it is a culture in the United States. It is effective in every part of our lives, in schools, in streets or in our homes. That popular and effective music type began as a rebellious to destroy the†¦show more content†¦Previous studies show that hip-hop based on what has happened before, today young people repeats their parent’s reactions when they rebel but in a different way. The dilemma in that point is their rebellion is to the a dults; youth do the same what their parents do before but they do the opposite what their parents do now. Taylor and Taylor assert the normality of contradiction with this dilemma, according to authors, â€Å"The use of profanity and vulgarity in Hip Hop culture is prevalent because, as with most aspects of this culture, it represents disdain for established norms and rejection of what decent adult culture declares is acceptable† (Taylor and Taylor, 212). Consequently, hip-hop is described as the reflection of life and reaction of youth to adults, which is same with past but in a different way. Hip-hop does not have an old history although today it surrounds all over the world. The originator of hip-hop music is a Jamaican immigrant, Kool Herc who initiated this culture in New York streets more than thirty years ago (Chappell, 53). As we know, in this music style the black subculture is still dominant because hip-hop borned in that culture and since then it has been related and also leaded by black people.
